General Information

Here is some information that we would like to share with you and to answer some questions you might have.

Dog Food:

We feed our dogs Purina Dog & Puppy Chow. The food has the right ingredients that our dogs need to be healthy and happy. It satisfies their hunger without needing lots and lots. This dog food has high protein, whole grains for digestive health, and the most needed vitamins & minerals. We have been feeding our dogs Purina food for a very, very long time and never had a problem with it. It is priced reasonably and is easier to find around America unlike some foods that are regionally based. With this food it is easy to transition the dogs from puppy chow to dog chow after they are 1 year old. When the females are pregnant we move them from dog chow to puppy chow until after they are completely done nursing all the puppies.

For more information on the Purina Dog or Puppy Chow visit their website: http://www.longliveyourdog.com/products/DogChowCompleteNutrition.aspx

Puppies:

All puppies are AKC registered dogs and when you buy a puppy from us we will give you all the paperwork you need, such as AKC paperwork, health guarantee and other papers we give you when you get your new baby.  A baggie of puppy food to help transition from our food to what you want to feed the puppy is also provided. Along with all of this, we give the puppies at least one bath and they all get collars around 3-4 weeks old. We spend a lot of time with the puppies and get them very socialized. We allow the puppies to go to their new homes at 8 weeks. We go with 8 weeks because we want to make sure they are completely weaned from Momma and so we get more time to play with them as well. All the puppies will be up to date on all shots and vaccinations, their dew claws will be removed and with the springer pups we will dock their tails. If you have any questions please contact us and we will respond as quickly as possible.

All puppies will be sold with a limited registration unless other arrangements are made. Contact us with questions.

Shipping:

We do provide shipping for our puppies to their new homes if we need to. We really have had great luck using American Airlines and prefer to use them. There is an extra charge for shipping to cover airline tickets, vet paperwork, kennel and kennel materials plus gas for us to drive to Des Moines to ship. Check with us with any questions.

Stud:

We do offer stud services. We ask you bring your female to us after she is into her heat cycle roughly 4-6 days along with food unless she is eating Purina which we already have. There is a stud fee. The stud we will is Buck.
